Stair Run
The Blue Light Stair Run is an annual stair climb event at Broadgate Tower for uniformed emergency services personel.
The event taking place on 16th April 2022 has been postponed until Autumn 2022 due to covid restrictions for events at Broadgate Tower – all existing entries will be carried over and we hope to release a new date soon.
KEY FACTS
You’ll climb 877 steps (35 floors). Broadgate Tower is 541ft!
You’ll register in a pair. Results are based on the 2nd to finish.
You’ll race in your full uniform. Breathing apparatus provided.
The event is chip-timed. Average times are 10mins, fastest is 4!
Awards for services, male, female & mixed gender categories.
You can run again indivually after the teams in regular clothes.
ABOUT
The Blue Light Stair Run is a sporting competition that will competitors to their limits. All frontline emergency services personel can apply, including: ambulance and air ambulance, coastguard, firefighters, police, prison guard and search & rescue. The event raises funds for charities that support emergency services and is organised by the the British Firefighter Challenge and Total Motion Events.
*In order to register you must be frontline operational personnel, wearing National standard issue PPE.
HOW TALL?
Broadgate Tower is 4 times taller than Tower Bridge!
That’s about 1.5 times bigger than Big Ben, the London Eye or St Paul’s Cathedral!
